About Me

My photo
Michelle H.
*UPDATE* Not sure if anyone even follows this anymore because i have not posted in years, but I felt the need to update my profile because of what I have gone through the past 9 months. I moved to AZ in 2014 and could not find a doctor to treat me because they did not put in my band, so I was left on my own. On 5/13/15 I was rushed into surgery after having had my band slip so severely, my stomach was about to perforate. I cried as they wheeled me into the OR because of the fact I was losing my band, which had become a part of me...but unfortunately it also almost killed me. 9 months later I have gained 50 lbs and am super unhappy about that, but I am alive. My name is Michelle and I had gastric banding, aka LapBand surgery, on May 27, 2011 and it changed my life. I am originally from Iowa (Go Hawks!) but have lived in Vegas now for 25 yrs. I am a wife and mother (one teenager, 3 fur babies). I am now in the WLJ of a lifetime with my LapBand. I have gone through the good, the bad and the ugly so far and can't wait for each new phase!
